Q: What’s your hometown and current residence?
A: I’m originally from Buffalo, NY but now I live in Vieques, Puerto Rico.
Q: Best project, ever?
A: I led the L&D effort for an Oracle Financials installation where we closed the books on PeopleSoft and opened them in Oracle and everything went off without a hitch. People knew what to do, how to do it and the system worked without any major flaws. Overall a success!
Q: What’s your favorite word?
A: Esdr’jula — it’s a Spanish word referring to words that have an accent mark on the third syllable (they count syllables starting from the end of the word to the front). Esdr’jula is an esdr’jula word. Making it self-referential, one of my most favorite literary forms.
Q: What’s your least favorite word?
A: Utilize. Why take a perfect word like “use” and make it three times longer?
Q: Family, pets or hermit?
A: John is my husband and Charlotte is my dog.
Q: What’s a sound you hate?
Q: Profession you’d like to try?
A: Air traffic controller — it’s the ultimate control fest. I like to be in control of things.

A: People who use the word utilize.
